Metung Village
Metung
is a waterfront Village located on the Gippsland Lakes in the Shire
of East Gippsland. Travel time is approximately 3.5 hours from
Melbourne on a good highway and freeway. There is also a
V-Line service from Melbourne to Bairnsdale with a V-Line bus
extension available to Swan Reach. Metung is a further 10
kilometers off the Prince's Highway. The Village has a number of
shops and restaurants for visitors to enjoy as well as numerous
jetties if visiting by boat.

MULTIPOS facility is available at the Metung Hotel.
Commonwealth Bank customers are able to use over the counter
banking at the Metung Post Office.
EFTPOS facilities are available at most restaurants and shops.
Major credit cards are also accepted at most outlets.

Metung Post Office is open 5 1/2 days per
week with mail deliveries to and from Metung every
weekday.

Metung Visitor Information Centre has Gippsland Lakes waterways
maps available for sale. (laminated or plain paper).

newspapers are available from the Metung Village Store.
